Explore recipes! Sounds simple enough right? Actually I’ve found it’s more productive to find a favorite chefs and follow them.
I started simple with a salad. It started with a fabulous photograph, so I tried it. I never expected to try such new combinations, now there is an entire new world of salads. I’m loving chicken with strawberries and corn on the cob, bacon.. and few other things, sounds odd. However the taste combination is amazing!!
Next I see a picture and it’s got things I’m not sure of.. edamame …ginger…salmon..mango…avocado.. watercress…huh? Ok I’m going to have to try it. First its a trip to the farmers market to get ingredients
Wow exploration is also great when your trying foods new to you. I’m not a big fan of cucumbers however I was game for being mixed in. Never having persian cucumbers I tasted it first, where have these been all my life! So Good!!! Watercress it’s not a huge flavor, however it does have that bit of difference to your typical greens just the thing we need to wake up our taste buds. Nothing overwhelming with any of this however the meld of it all is fantastic.
The entire experience as the recipe said was EASY, the taste I give it a absolutely yes!
This is definitely a summer salad favorite, I’m sure it will be on repeat a few times this year. I did make a few changes I grilled the salmon and the market didn’t have the scallions, the cilantro I increased so there was plenty of zing in there. Also there is a great recipe for dressing…I opted for super simple and used a bottled Asian Ginger Sesame Soy dressing. The tang of the dressing along with the combination of the ingredients was amazing. I loved the taste. Here’s my take on What’s Gaby Cooking loaded sesame, ginger, salmon salad and here is the link to her recipe
