While I love the classic black and white we typically have here at OurWhiteCottage… I do LOVE the fabulous feeling of adding Patriotic Decor.
I like to add things mostly on the exterior so they are easily shared with others.. we get so many compliments, lots of waves and and looks.. it’s fun, it’s festive and it just makes you feel good to show your proud to be American.
I usually put this out at Memorial Day and leave it up until just after 4th of July.
I’ve been asked a few times so I thought I’d start a series here of what I add and a few things we do that you might incorporate too! Let’s get started!
Part One… The Backyard Sectional
We already have plenty of pillows however it always fun to add more.. we have added a variety of reds, with a bit of blue. We have mixed the patterns and the sizes/shapes, not everything should be the same, gives it some dimension. There are so many options here.. basically just have some fun with it and don’t forget to decorate your accent/coffee tables too! There will be a section on decorating that coffee table to show some variances.. stay tuned… don’t forget to follow us/sign for updates..
